Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol (Pve. Geo. Nugent, 6th Dns.) contemporary engraved naming; Turkish Crimea, Sardinian issue (Corpl., 6th Dns.) contact marks, nearly very fine (2) £300-350

George Nugent was born in Cavan and enlisted for the 6th Dragoons at Dublin on 22 July 1839, aged 19 years. He served in Turkey and the Crimea for 10 months and is confirmed on the muster rolls for the period including the battle of Balaklava. He transferred to the 5th Lancers in March 1858 and was discharged with the rank of Corporal on 18 October 1859.
