Sutlej 1845-46, for Sobraon 1846, no clasp (Daniel Clarke 10th. Regt.) edge bruising, very fine £400-£500

Daniel Clarke was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, in 1815, and attested for the 79th Regiment of Foot at Glasgow on 29 December 1834. He transferred to the 10th (North Lincolnshire) Regiment of Foot on 1 April 1838, and served with them in India during the First Sikh War, and was wounded by gun shot to the right leg at the Battle of Sobraon on 10 February 1846. Returning home, he was discharged on account of his wounds on 22 August 1868, after 13 years and 209 days’ service.
