Samuel Robinson served in the 82nd Foot from 6 July 1842, and was present at the siege of Sebastopol (Medal). He transferred to the Royal Canadian Rifles on 28 April 1858, and served 9 years and 4 months in Canada before being discharged ‘Free’ with Pension after 25 years service on 31 July 1867.
