Ramparasad Gurung enlisted in the Gurkha Signals in November 1956. He was discharged, 13 June 1970, having advanced to Corporal ‘has been a hard working and conscientious man. As a detachment commander he has shown that he can control others and always sets a good example to the other men of his detachment.’ (papers refers)
