A Post 1902 Royal Naval Officer’s Sword by Gieves Ltd., the 79.5 cm blade with single fuller is etched with he Imperial Crown over a fouled anchor the Royal Arms and panels of scrolling foliage, solid gilt brass hand guard incorporating the Imperial Crown over a fouled anchor, wire bound fish skin grip with lion’s mane backstrap and head finial, correctly threaded full dress sword knot, the spring loaded turn down section is engraved ‘G.W.Mott, R.N.’, together with its gilt brass chape mounted black leather scabbard this with one only black leather sword sling, the blade bright but with small rust patches all metal sections devoid of gilt but good sound condition £140-£200
