Four: Warrant Officer Class I W. C. Lord, Royal Army Service Corps

Defence and War Medals 1939-45; General Service 1918-62, 2 clasps, Cyprus, Malaya (S/103521 W.O. Cl.1. W. C. Lord. R.A.S.C.); Army L.S. & G.C., E.II.R., 1st issue, Regular Army (S/103521 W.O. Cl.2. W. C. Lord. R.A.S.C.) mounted as worn, edge bruise to GSM, light contact marks, very fine and better (4) £100-£140

W. C. Lord was based from June 1953 in the Canal South District, Egypt; he later served from January 1958 in the 2 Cold Store Depot in Cyprus; then with the 1 Supply Depot in Central Malaya. In May 1973 he finally left the Army after 3 years with 236 Squadron. With his service in the Canal Zone he would additionally be entitled to the clasp ‘Canal Zone’ for his General Service Medal.
