Harold James Glover was born in Medway, Kent, on 5 October 1920 and served during the Second World War in the Royal Army Service Corps. Advanced Company Quartermaster Sergeant on 28 July 1964, he was presented with his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 15 July 1965, prior to his discharged in 1966. He died in North Yorkshire in January 1999.
