David Kennedy Lang was born in Glasgow, and attested there for the Highland Light Infantry. he served with the 9th (Glasgow Highland) Battalion during the Great War, and died of wounds on the Western Front on 12 April 1918. He is buried in Godewaersvelde British Cemetery, France.

Sold with named Record Office enclosure for the Great War awards, addressed to ‘Mr. D. K. Lang, 251 Springburn Road, Glasgow’.
