A Great War ‘Western Front’ M.M. group of three awarded to Corporal M. W. Jones, Rifle Brigade, who was taken Prisoner of War at Montescourt on 21 March 1918

Malcolm Watts Jones attested for the Rifle Brigade and served with the 9th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front. Awarded the Military Medal, he was posted missing, presumed killed in action on 21 March 1918, on which day the Battalion was at Montescourt, but was subsequently recorded as having been taken Prisoner of War. He was repatriated following the cessation of hostilities.
