Charles I (1625-1649), Truro or Exeter mint, Shilling, undated, mm. rose, smaller bust with ‘lank’ hair, oval garnished shield, c r at sides, 5.83g/4h (Besly B4; SCBI Brooker 1024 [Truro], same dies; N 2545; S 3083). About very fine and toned, extremely rare; probably one of only two known £1,200-£1,500
