Charles I (1625-1649), York mint, Halfcrown, Gp 2 [type 2], mm. lion, grass groundline, rev. oval garnished shield, 14.15g/12h (Bull 551; Besly 1B; SCBI Brooker 1077, same dies; N 2310; S 2864). Metal flaw at 9 o’clock, otherwise very fine or better, toned £500-700
