Patwayo Mouta, who was born in June 1909, served in the Northern Rhodesia Regiment from 1939-46, latterly with the 5th Battalion in Palestine. He died in August 1983; sold with a copied colour portrait photograph, depicting the recipient in his old uniform, wearing his medals, taken at Lusaka in May 1981.
