Butler) backstrap of clasp damaged on this; Jubilee 1935; Royal Air Force L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R., 1st issue (363365 F/Sgt., R.A.F.); Iraq Active Service Medal, with clasp for Southern Kurdistan 1930-31, together with 7 related miniatures and various ribbon bars, nearly very fine or better and a rare double issue G.S.M. group (14) £800-1000

A. F. Butler was born on 8 September 1907 and joined the Royal Air Force in January 1923. He was commissioned as Acting Pilot Officer on 1 July 1943, became Flight Lieutenant on 1 January 1947, and retired on 29 May 1949. He then became a Special Constable in Cyprus.
