British War and Victory Medals (2.Lieut.); 1939-45 Star; Africa Star, clasp, 8th Army; Defence & War Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaf, the last four in their named card box of issue, together with a quantity of pips and badges, mostly Legion of Frontiersmen, extremely fine (6) £80-100

M.I.D. London Gazette 30 December 1941: ‘Captain (temp. Major) R.A.S.C. In recognition of distinguished services in the Middle East (including Egypt, East Africa, The Western desert, The Sudan, Greece, Crete, Syria and Tobruk during the period February to July 1941.’

First commissioned as Second Lieutenant, Middlesex Regiment, 30 May 1917. The Army List for 1946 shows him with a Regular army Emergency Commission as Lieutenant (W.S./Maj.) (Hon. Lt.Col.), Royal Army Service Corps.
