1914-15 Star (3403 Pte., Manch. R.), possibly officially re-impressed; British War and Victory Medals (3403 Sjt., Manch. R.), B.W.M. renamed; Memorial Plaque (Matthew Gaul) nearly extremely fine (4) £70-90

Matthew Gaul enlisted in Manchester and served as a Serjeant in the 21st battalion Manchester Regiment. He was killed in action, France / Flanders on 4.10.1917 aged 31 years. His name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Belgium.
