The mounted pair of miniature dress medals attributed to Lieutenant-Colonel G. Chapman, 36th Native Light Infantry, Military General Service, 1 engraved clasp, Java; Army of India, 2 engraved clasps, Bhurtpoor, Ava, both pieces have contemporary struck discs set into separate mounts, mounted as worn from a twin buckle, in Spink, London leather case, nearly extremely fine (2) £200-300

Attributed to Lieutenant-Colonel George Chapman, who as a Captain of the 36th Native Infantry is shown as entitled to the clasps Bhurtpoor and Ava. He is not listed as being entitled to the clasp Java.
