(for Gallantry) London Gazette 20 August 1957 and Cyprus Gazette 5 September 1958: ‘The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve the immediate award of the Colonial Police Medal for Gallantry to Detective-Sergeant Alan Stewart, Sergeant Talat Souleiman Denirel and Constable Timour Mehmet of the Cyprus Police.’
