Military General Service 1793-1814, 7 clasps, Busaco, Fuentes D’Onor, Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca, Vittoria, Nivelle, Nive (Geo. F. C. Von Schauroth, Lieut. 5th Line Bn. K.G.L.) extremely fine £1400-1800

George Schauroth joined the service in October 1809 and served in the Peninsula 1810-13; in Southern France 1813-14; in the Netherlands 1814; the campaign of 1815 and the battle of Waterloo. He was slightly wounded ‘in the assault and capture of the exterior line of the castle of Burgos on the evening of the 4th October, 1812’, and again slightly wounded before Bayonne on 27 February 1814. He was promoted Major by brevet and placed on the retired list at Rudolstadt.
