Standard 1856 pattern, black leather skull with scarlet cloth side panels and black leather top, waist band and rosette yellow and blue. Post 1902 gilding metal frontal plate with honours to the South African war. Lion’s mask side ornaments but the chin chain an officer’s blue cloth helmet pattern, black leather sweatband, stamped inside ‘12L 4689’, rosette button is QVC pattern. Correct pattern brass plume holder but with black horsehair plume, complete with a set of yellow cord cap lines, a good sound example £400-£600
