Royal Army Medical Corps Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1902-14 and Named Carrying Tin, the skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, the frontal plate of standard Royal Arms pattern with unit scroll at the bottom, buff leather sweatband with attached ribbed silk lining (the whole now part detached), the frontal plate not original to the helmet; the tin with applied brass plaque ‘Captain G.R.Painton, R.A.M.C.’, the skiver lining to the rear peak of the helmet missing and fractured on the front peak, the bracing bar inside the tin part detached otherwise good overall condition (2) £300-400
