4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards Other Ranks 1871 Pattern Helmet, the brass skull complete with all brass fittings, the frontal plate of white metal star pattern overlaid with a brass Garter motto, in the centre on a black painted ground ‘4’ in brass, buff leather sweat band, white hair plume, no chin chain, the bottom star point of the frontal plate lacking and the tip of one other missing, no rear peak lining and the leather sweat band split on the rear seam, the skull with some rippling, otherwise good condition £200-£300
