F. Openshaw served during the Great War with the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles Battalion, and died on the Western Front on 26 October 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.

Ernest John Woodgate served during the Great War with Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, and died on the Western Front on 15 September 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial, France.
