A Naval Good Shooting Medal group of five awarded to Petty Officer D. M. Fielder, Royal Navy, who was awarded the Russian Medal of St. George for the Battle of Jutland

Implacable, 1912. 12 Pr. Q.F.); Russia, Empire, Medal of St. George, 4th Class, the reverse officially numbered ‘1272768’, suspension ring altered on last, the Star and VM silver-dipped, light contact mark and edge bruise to last, very fine and better (5) £500-£700

David Martin Fielder was born in Eltham, Kent, on 13 January 1890, and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 1 June 1906. Advanced Ordinary Seaman on 13 January 1908, he was promoted Able Seaman, and served in H.M.S. Implacable from 21 September 1910 to 21 October 1913, being awarded the Naval Good Shooting Medal in 1912. Promoted Leading Seaman on 17 September 1913, he served during the Great War in the Destroyer H.M.S. Liberty, was present at the Battle of Jutland, 31 May to 1 June 1916, and was promoted Petty Officer on 1 July 1916. For his services with the Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland he was awarded the Russian Medal of St. George, Fourth Class.
