James Delaney was born in Manchester and attested there for the Lancashire Fusiliers. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War, and was killed in action on 4 June 1915. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.

Wentworth Frederic Scott was born in Crumpsall, Lancashire, and attested for the Lancashire Fusiliers at Manchester. He served with the 11th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 10 August 1917. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
