Thomas Rennett Roades was born on 7 May 1881, at Stanford, Kent, and joined the Navy for 12 years as a Stoker 2nd class on 16 October 1899. He served aboard Sappho from 18 August 1900 to 29 April 1901, and was invalided out of the Navy on 5 May 1904. Sold with copied record of service.
