John Heritage was born in Gloucestershire and enlisted at Westminster on 2 January 1860, aged 20, a stone mason by trade. He was discharged on 15 March 1867, and subsequently lived at Lafayette Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., to which address his Canada medal was despatched in September 1903. Sold with copied Pay lists and medal roll.
