India General Service 1854-95, 2 clasps, Hazara 1891, Samana 1891 (4510 Pte. F. King 1st. Bn. K.R. Rif. C.) contact marks, nearly very fine £180-220

Frederick King was born in Warwick in 1869 ands attested for the King's Royal Rifle Corps in May 1888. He served with the 1st Battalion in India from November 1890, and took part in the operations with the Hazara Field Force and the Miranzi Field Force. He subsequently served with the Chitral Relief Force in 1895 (entitled to Medal and clasp), and with the Regiment in South Africa during the Boer War from December 1899 to April 1901 (entitled to Queen’s South Africa Medal). He was discharged on 23 July 1901, after 13 years and 75 days’ service.
