Daniel Brown attested the 15th Hussars on 2 October 1812. He was present at the Battle of Waterloo, 18 June 19815, when the 15th were under artillery fire all day and lost two officers and 21 other ranks killed, and three officers and 48 other ranks wounded. He was discharged on 3 September 1816, after 5 years and 337 days’ service.
