1st or The King’s Dragoon Guards 1847 Pattern Helmet, the gilt brass skull complete with all laurel and acanthus decoration, the crowned rococo pattern helmet plate complete with small silver beaded star overlay and unit title strap ‘King’s Dragoon Guards’, this enclosing the VR cypher, correct pattern gilt brass chin scale with one only rose pattern side ornament, quilted cloth sweat band and liner present, no gilt remains on the skull this also with minor dents, part only of the quadrant support for the spike plume holder which is lacking, the chin chain is detached from the leather liner and the quilted sweat band and liner part detached. Together with an infantry officer’s japanned metal helmet tin this with brass plaque Captain Dallin West Kent Light Infantry, good condition (2) £200-300
