David May is recorded on the roll of the East African Rifles for this medal and clasp: ‘Commander David May, Commander Protectorate S/S Juba. Awarded decoration for service on land.’ Sold with copied medal roll entry which is dated Zanzibar, 26 September 1911, and notes ‘Issued to Foreign Office 9-3-12’.
