Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Sebastopol, Inkermann, Azoff (George Pace, H.M.S. Firebrand) contemporarily engraved naming, unofficial retaining rod between second and third clasps, good very fine £160-200

George Pace was born in Valetta, Malta, in 1824, and entered H.M.S. Firebrand on 15 October 1854. He served aboard as a Captain’s Steward until 28 August 1855, when he transferred in the same rate to H.M.S. Leander. He transferred again, to H.M.S. Rodney, on 28 September 1855, before being shore discharged from H.M.S. Eurotas on 27 February 1856.

Inkermann and Sebtopol clasps confirmed. Azoff clasp not confirmed, and neither
Firebrand nor Leander took part in the Azoff operations.
