M.M. London Gazette 13 November 1918 (Egypt).

James Gibson was born in Lochee, Forfarshire. He served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Highlanders in the French theatre from 12 October 1914. Gibson was serving with the Battalion when he died of wounds, 19 November 1918. Gibson is buried in Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
