An early 20th century Chinese rectangular carved jade pendant, the slightly mottled emerald green pendant of rectangular framed tablet form, carved on both sides in relief, the front with a phoenix (fenghuang) posing against a background of lingzhi fungi, lotus and a sacred jewel, the reverse with a single peony bloom amidst lingzhi fungi, all symbolising love, longevity and beauty, (jade untested for treatment), length 79mm x width 52mm x depth approximately 12mm. £1000-1500
