Capt Eugene Clementi-Smith, DSO (1847-1901), educated at St Paul’s School, London; served first in Canada and later in South Africa, where he received a fatal wound at Harrisburg on 11 September 1901, dying on 4 October. Throughout his service career he had been involved with shooting and the NRA shoot annually for gold silver and bronze medals in his name. Further biographical details are sold with the lot
