Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (24002 Pte. J. Gilks. 35th. Coy. Imp: Yeo:) good very fine £140-180

J. Gilks served with the 35th (Middlesex) Company, 11th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa during the Boer War. He was injured at Tweefontein on Christmas Day 1901, and subsequently died of disease at Mooi River on 14 March 1902. Also entitled to the South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 clasps.
