Memorial Medal, gold (9ct., 15.0g), the obverse featuring Peace standing on the world, with the flags of the Victorious Allies either side, and the dates 1914-1919, the reverse engraved ‘K. Mc.Gregor K.O.S.B. Fell 1918’ within wreath, with small ring suspension, extremely fine £100-140

Kenneth McGregor (listed as MacGregor on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Roll) was born in Dumfries, and attested there for the King’s Own Scottish Borderers. He served with the 1st/5th Battalion during the Great War, and died of wounds on the Western Front on 18 June 1918. He is buried in Ligny-St. Flochel British Cemetery, France.
