Military General Service 1793-1814, 3 clasps, Martinique, Busaco, Albuhera (John Jackson, 7th Foot.) edge bruising and contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine £1000-1200

John Jackson was born in the Parish of Ecclesea Barlow, Yorkshire, and enlisted into the 7th Foot on 24 June 1805. He was transferred to the 3rd Royal Veteran Battalion on 11 July 1812, and discharged from that establishment on 6 July 1814, in consequence of ‘reduction and wounded left hand’, presumably received at Albuhera. Sold with copied discharge papers.
