James III (1460-1488), Groat, mm. cross pattée, crowned bust half-right in surcoat and armour, rev. floriate cross, mullet in first and fourth quarters, thistle-head in second and third quarters, 2.00g /4h (S 5270). Flan flaw on obverse, reverse slightly double-struck and with a few scratches, otherwise nearly very fine, rare (£250-300)
