Yorkshire Hussars Full Dress Busby with Carrying Tin This Named to the Honourable Ralph Beckett c. 1890-1914, the busby of brown sable is complete with scarlet bag this with silver lace trim, triple sewn in silver lace cap lines and correct pattern plated chin chain, to the front a scarlet cloth boss mounted with the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto in silver and gold lace with a blue silk backing to the motto scrolls, brown leather sweatband and retailer’s label for ‘Cater & Co., London’. Correct pattern full dress plume of black egret over scarlet cock’s feathers, plated plume holder, complete with its carrying tin; the japanned metal carrying tin with brass plaque ‘Honble Ralph Beckett, Yorkshire Hussars’, the busby with some wear to the fur and chin chain lining part detached, the retaining hasp of the tin lacking otherwise good overall condition (4) £400-600
