1st West York Yeomanry Officer’s Full Dress Fur Cap c. 1862-76, an extremely rare example of dark brown bear skin with ornate gilt and silver plume holder and white horse hair plume, white metal chin chain with velvet backing, quilted black material sweatband and crimson silk lining, together with its cylindrical carrying tin, the gilt ball with one dent, the chin chain lining three quarters detached otherwise good condition for age the retaining section of the hasp on the carrying tin lacking (2)

Note: The Vendor states that this example was worn by G.B.C. Yarborough who served with the regiment after resigning from the 14th (The King’s) Hussars.
