Bedfordshire Volunteers Medal 1804, a circular engraved medal with multi-stepped border, 56mm, silver (no hallmarks), the obverse featuring the arms and motto of Luton and the legend ‘Bedfordshire Volunteers’, the reverse inscribed ‘Merit Rewarded by the Officers of the Luton Company to Mr John Yates. He being the best shot for the year 1804’, with horizontal loop suspension, good very fine £180-220
