8th Foot Medal, a circular engraved medal with no rim, 48mm, silver, obverse featuring a galloping horse, with a crown above, ‘8’ below, with a spray of laurel with a riband inscribed ‘Or King’s Regt.’, the whole surrounded by the Garter, hallmarks for London 1801, the reverse inscribed ‘In Token of Fourteen Years Faithful Service’ within a wreath, with riband at top inscribed ‘Military Merit’, with flat loop suspension, very fine £180-220
