Maldwyn Herbert Lee was born in June 1916, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Lee, and the husband of Margaret J. Lee of Dafen, Wales. He enlisted in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve as Aircraftman Second Class, in April 1941, and advanced to Leading Aircraftman in May 1943. He died 19 June 1944, and is commemorated on the Malta Memorial.
