Wigton Armed Association Officer’s Commission 1799, 19 x 32 cms, a very scarce example appointing Alexander McDonall Junior, Gentleman to be a First Lieutenant of the Kirkmaiden Company in the County of Wigton. Signed 1st January 1799 by George III and by ?Cathcart’ (Earl) probably the Lord Lieutenant for Wigtonshire, now contained within a very smart mount and modern glazed frame, very good condition £100-160
