Thomas Renphrey was born in Sunderland on 25 September 1920, and attested for the Royal Norfolk Regiment in June 1939. He served with the Norfolks throughout the Second World War, and in the Korean War. He was subsequently employed as the Foreman of a paper mill near Watford, and died in Watford General Hospital on 23 February 1993.
