M.S.M. London Gazette 7 February 1919 (Military Operations with the Forces in East Africa).

G. Murison was a stonemason from Bloemfontein. He served for two years in the South African Constabulary during the Second Boer War, and served during the Great War with the Rhodesia Regiment from August 1915. He served in German East Africa from October 1915, until his transfer to the East Africa Road Corps in August 1918.

The M.S.M. is unique to the Rhodesia Regiment.
