David I (1124-1153), Sterling, Berwick, Folpalt, crowned bust right with sceptre, [dav]it· rex· esocie, rev. cross fleury with single pellets in angles, fopal[t·on·ber], 1.28g/9h (B fig. 4a; cf. SCBI 35, 7; S 5007). Struck on an irregular flan, legends flat in places but very fine for issue, excessively rare, perhaps only two known (£800-1,000)
