Harry Thomas Roper-Hall was commissioned a temporary Surgeon Probationer in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on 3 July 1917, serving in H.M.S. Skilful (additionally entitled to the Victory Medal). He subsequently served as Honorary Dental Surgeon at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital.
