George Stanley Crocker was born in Blandford, Dorset, and attested for the Royal Fusiliers. He served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War and was killed in action on 25 April 1915, the first day of the Gallipoli Landings. He is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.

Sold together with two Dorset County Council School Attendance Medals, one with top ‘1910’ riband bar; and a Coronation 1911 Commemorative Medal, these all in white metal.
