Provenance: Sold together with a Buckingham Palace letter, addressed to His Royal Highness Prince Chula Chakrabongse, G.C.V.O., and dated 1 August 1950, stating ‘My dear Prince Chula, I laid your letter of July 27th before the King, who has now directed me to send you the enclosed specimen of a Garter ribbon, which you are at liberty to use in your forthcoming lecture.
